Brandbook for the National Bank of Ukraine
After winning a tender in the PROZORRO system, we were given the opportunity to update the identity of the National Bank of Ukraine. According to the brief, the logo and font had already been agreed upon, but some changes could be proposed as part of the brand book development.
The main goal of the identity update was to reflect the changes and reforms that have recently taken place at the NBU, to create a style that is in line with current trends, but at the same time to maintain continuity with the bank’s well-known style. The NBU is the main bank of the country, and trust in it is also based on restraint and balanced decisions, so any significant changes could not but be perceived by ordinary customers and partners of the bank. Therefore, what was good for the designer often did not coincide with the views of the financier. The NBU’s brand book became the golden mean of these different polarized approaches.
